The Gandhian Peace Club of NICHE University organized a Drug Awareness Program in the Kumaracoil area, focusing on educating the community about the dangers of substance abuse. Volunteers requested that vendors stop selling cigarettes and other drug-related products. The event saw active participation from NICHE University students and club members, with discussions and activities designed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and promote a drug-free lifestyle. Professors Mathan Kumar, Ajin, Dhanish, and Inba Saharan played key roles in organizing and facilitating the program, while Prof. Allwin from the Civil Engineering Department coordinated the event. The program effectively addressed critical issues related to substance abuse and underscored the importance of educational initiatives in fostering a drug-free community.
