National Youth Day Celebration

National Youth Day Celebration at Noorul Islam Higher Education Center Kumarakoil Noorul Islam Higher Education Center in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra of Kanyakumari district celebrated Youth Day in a grand manner. January 12, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, who is considered as the symbol of youth, is observed as National Youth Day. ProChancellor (academic) Dr. R. Perumalsamy presided and delivered the keynote address. Mr. Subaiya. IPS Additional Superintendent of Police, Kanyakumari district was the chief guest and inaugurated the National Youth Day program and delivered a special address. In his speech, he asked you to fulfill the dream of Swami Vivekananda. The next 25 years will be very important days for India. He asked you to carry forward the thoughts and teachings of Swami Vivekananda so that India can become the world's greatest power in these 25 years. Earlier Mr. Ranganathan, APC, NYKS, Kanyakumari District Nehru Yuvakendra Coordinator gave the welcome address. Mrs.Yang Sen Toma Bhutia I.P.S, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Kanyakumari District was the special guest and paid floral tributes to the idol of Swami Vivekananda. Dr. Savitha A. R. Senate Member, Manonmaniam sundharanar University and Associate Professor and Head - Center for Research in English, Sungankadai Sri Ayyappa Women's College, addressed the students on the importance of this day and the role of youth. Noorul Islam University Registrar Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan explained the goal of youth for the development of India by 2047. Bro. Bhagavan spoke at Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre, Rajasthan on the purpose of education and the causes of mental stress. Following the cultural program by the students, a live telecast of Hon'ble Prime Minister's speech was broadcast from Nashik. Followed by a road safety exhibition and training was inaugurated. Followed by: Dr.M.Murugan, Director of Programs gave vote of thanks. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Janarthanan, University Public Relations Officer Ramadoss and a large number of students graced the occasion.
