It's wonderful to learn about the Kargil Vijay Divas at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education on 26-07-2023. This commemoration is a significant tribute to India's victory in the 1999 Kargil War and an opportunity to express gratitude towards the brave soldiers who selflessly served the nation during the conflict. The ceremony, presided over by University Pro-Chancellor Dr. R. Perumalsamy, began with the University Defense Academy Director, Col. Jayakumar, paying homage at the Kargil war memorial in the university premises. The presence of NCC Cadets during the event added a touch of honor and respect. Vice-Chancellor Dr. A. K. Kumaraguru and other distinguished guests, including Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Dr. K. A. Janardhanan ,Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics) Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, Registrar Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan, as well as university officials, professors, and students, also participated in the ceremony by laying floral wreaths at the memorial, signifying their deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Indian soldiers.
