The Environment Day celebrations was celebrated at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education in Kumaracoil on June 05, 2023. Shri. M.S. Faizal Khan, Pro Chancellor of NICHE University Kanyakumari, graced the occasion with his esteemed presence. Smt. Shabnam Shafeek, Executive Director of NICHE, also joined the event, showcasing their dedication in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The presence of Dr. A K Kumaraguru, Vice Chancellor of NICHE, added further significance to the event. His leadership and commitment to academic excellence and environmental conservation served as an inspiration to the students and faculty present. The organizing committee, led by Dr. M. Murugan, Professor and Dean of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, NSS Coordinator and University-level Activity Coordinator, demonstrated their expertise and dedication to make the event a grand success. The participants actively engaged in tree plantation drives, clean-up campaigns, and awareness drives to emphasize the importance of environmental stewardship.
