NICHE Ascend 2025: Celebrating Academic Excellence and Innovation

Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) Deemed-to-be University, Kanyakumari, hosted NICHE Ascend 2025, its prestigious annual academic conclave, at the University Convocation Hall. The event celebrated academic excellence, innovation, and achievements across diverse disciplines. Chancellor Dr. A.P. Majeed Khan inaugurated the conclave with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and presented the Best Faculty of the Year Award to Dr. R. Rajesh, Head of Mechanical Engineering. Pro-Chancellor Shri M.S. Faizal Khan delivered the presidential address, emphasizing NICHE’s transformative journey, while Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tessy Thomas welcomed attendees and outlined the university’s aspirations. Prof. Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academics), presented the annual report, highlighting research and collaborative milestones. Prof. Dr. K.A. Janardhanan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration), shared administrative insights, and Registrar Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan offered a vote of thanks. Eminent guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Kuncheria P. Isaac, Prof. (Dr.) G. Gopa Kumar, Dr. Faizul Rehman, and Mr. Gopinath Madathil, UGC Representative and Mathrubhumi Editor, inspired attendees with speeches on higher education’s evolving landscape and felicitated outstanding faculty. NICHE Ascend 2025 reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence and its status as a leading hub of higher education in South India.
