The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education hosted the NICHE ASLP Symposium Series II, focusing on “Screen Time Considerations and Hearing Health.” The event featured expert talks by Ms. Vrinda R, who discussed "Screen Time Considerations in Early Childhood," and Ms. Arya Chand, who presented "Hearing Science: The Basics," both from the National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH), Thiruvananthapuram. The sessions were highly informative and interactive, sparking thoughtful discussions among students and faculty.

Prof. S.A. Ramsankar, Head of the Department, welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of the topic in today’s context. The symposium concluded with an engaging interactive session, a vote of thanks by Mr. Ananthan A.V, and a felicitation of the speakers. With the enthusiastic participation of 50 students, the event provided valuable theoretical and practical insights into the impact of screen time on child development and the significance of hearing health.
