Professional Development Programme on Basics of Fire and Safety Engineering

The Department of Fire Technology at NICHE conducted a Professional Development Programme titled "Basics of Fire and Safety Engineering" for all lab instructors. This initiative was designed to deepen instructors' expertise in crucial fire safety practices. The program included:

Fire Safety Demonstration: Hands-on sessions on the use of fire extinguishers.
LOTO Concepts: Detailed introduction to Lockout-Tagout procedures for controlling hazardous energy sources.
Hydrant System Demonstration: Practical training on the operation of fire hydrant systems.
Water Base Monitor System Demonstration: Exposure to water-based fire suppression techniques.

More than 30 instructors engaged in these sessions, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to enhance safety protocols in lab settings. This event underscores NICHE's dedication to promoting a safe and well-prepared educational environment.
