Sync-to-Studio: The Film Sound Journey – Day 02

The second day of “Sync-to-Studio: The Film Sound Journey” continued with an engaging and insightful session led by Arun Rama Varma, an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Film and Animation students of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education explored the technical aspects of sync sound editing, learning how location-recorded audio is precisely aligned with film footage to achieve professional-quality output.

The hands-on workshop introduced students to the effective use of specialized microphones, real-time sound layering, and advanced noise reduction techniques, offering valuable practical exposure to modern filmmaking sound practices. The interactive session helped participants understand how sound design enhances storytelling and adds emotional depth to cinema, making it a highly enriching learning experience for aspiring filmmakers.
