International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM Observed at NICHE Kanyakumari

The Women Empowerment Cell of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Kanyakumari, observed the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) through a meaningful awareness programme focusing on sex education, women’s health, bodily autonomy, and gender equality. The session highlighted the severe physical and psychological consequences of FGM and emphasized the vital role of education, open dialogue, and collective responsibility in eliminating such harmful practices. Through this initiative, NICHE reaffirmed its strong commitment to upholding women’s rights, dignity, and social responsibility, reinforcing the message of zero tolerance toward FGM.
