NICHE Kanyakumari Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor

The Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE), Kanyakumari, marked the 79th Independence Day with a spirited celebration of the nation’s freedom and progress. The festivities commenced with Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tessy Thomas hoisting the National Flag and receiving a smart salute from the NCC Army and Naval Cadets.

Registrar Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan delivered an inspiring Independence Day message, reflecting on India’s remarkable journey since 1947 and the country’s significant advancements in agriculture, economy, technology, education, and international relations. He called upon the youth to actively participate in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

In a proud moment, the Vice-Chancellor honored NCC Cadets, presenting badges and certificates to those promoted for their achievements. The event was attended by university officials, NSS officers, NCC coordinators, staff, and students. The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural performances by the students, showcasing the nation’s unity, diversity, and patriotic pride.
