World Disability Day Awareness at NICHE

In observance of World Disability Day, the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) at NICHE organized a series of impactful awareness activities aligned with the theme “Fostering Disability-Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress.” Informative stalls set up in the NICHE lobby showcased student presentations on various disabilities, focusing on early identification, causes, assessment, and management, supported by creative displays and interactive elements that encouraged empathy and inclusivity. A powerful mime act highlighted the daily challenges faced by persons with disabilities and the importance of understanding and support. The event continued with a quiz competition in the ASLP Seminar Hall, promoting knowledge on accessibility, rehabilitation, and inclusive practices. The initiative reinforced NICHE’s commitment to inclusion, equality, and social responsibility.
