The main objectives of charity programme are to organizations typically revolved around helping those in needs, alleviating suffering, promoting social justice, and making positive changes in communities. The extension activity was undertaken on 13-08-2024 at 10:00 am at Neyyoor Cancer Centre where more than 50 students and faculty members who belong to Department of Computer Applications of BCA and MCA students and faculty members are volunteered to visit the Cancer Patients. It planned various activities which include Bible reading by Dr. J. R. Jeba, HoD, Department of Computer Applications, and prayer by Mrs. Malar, Social Worker of Neyyoor Cancer Centre. Computer Applications department were very generous and supported with books, and fruits, was distributed by the faculty members and students at the venue after the program College management provided bus facility for the students to reach out to the Centre and then back to college.
Brief Description of the Event The Technical Quiz competition was conducted for the MCA students on 30th July 2024.The faculties of Computer Applications department were conducted this Quiz competition. First preliminary test was conducted at 10:00 am – 10:30 am individually. Totally 70 students were participated. We have to select top ten students and form a team. The final Quiz competition was conducted from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm at department smart class room. The programme was conducted by five rounds. The rounds are 1. General Round 2. Visual Round 3. Subject Round 4. Dump Charade 5. Rapid Fire Round At the end of the contest two teams were rewarded as 1st and 2nd place. The prizes are distributed by Dr. S. Beulah on that same day. All the students enjoyed the contest.

Pongal is the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, celebrated on the first day of ‘Thai’ (Tamil month). A festival to thank God for all his goodness and mercies and to look forward to a prosperous year. Department of Computer Applications of NICHE celebrated Pongal festival on 12-01-2024.
The Educational tour was organized by Department of Computer Applications, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, on 13-11-2023 to 15-11-2023. The tour comprised students of BCA and MCA accompanied by faculty members, Mr. Ajin Monish ( Dept. of English), Dr. S. Beulah and Ms. M. Merlin Johnsy (Dept. of CA). All the students were directed to gather at the University campus around 2:00 pm. We started our journey at 3 o’clock with Rehoboth Bus Service and reached at 8: 00 am at the location. Refresh ourselves and tea and breakfast were served to all the students and staffs. After that all students along with faculty members were visited Coronata creations Pvt. Ltd. After that we visited Pookkode Lake, Edakkal cave and Karapuzha Dam and Zip Line. Then, we took group photographs with students and staffs. We departed at 8:00 pm from Wayanad and reached at 9:30 am. We all had safe and enjoyable journey.

The Software contest competition was conducted for the MCA and BCA students on 5th October 2023. The faculties Dr. J. R. Jeba, HOD, Department of Computer Applications and all other Department staffs were conducted this competition. The competition was organized to encourage problem solving, algorithmic thinking and improve program debugging /error solving skills of students. Participants had solved all types of errors with correct output of the program in minimum time to win the competition. At the end of the contest rewarded as 1st place in each class. The prizes are distributed in our HOD Dr. J. R. Jeba and all other department staffs. All the students enjoyed the contest.
Onam the harvest festival of Kerala was celebrated on 25-08-2023, by the faculty members and students of our department. The students brightened the campus with their colourful ethnic wear in the traditional attire of Kerala.

Department of Computer Applications celebrated Pongal on 12.01.2023. The first day is known as “Bhogi Pongal”. It is a tribute to the Lord Indra who brought rains. On this day houses are cleaned, white washed and people discard their useless household articles into fire made of cow dung and wood cakes. The girls sing songs and dance in praise of God. On the second day newly harvested rice is cooked. The rice grains are cooked along with groundnuts, jaggery, sesame seeds, dried coconut and chick peas and are then put into an earthen pot filled with milk.

Webinar on Cloud Computing & Fog Computing was started at 11 AM thru Youtube Live. Resource Person for this programme is Dr.A.Shajin Nargunam, Director-Academic Affairs, NICHE. He shared about the Computing for 1 hour 30 minutes. Fog computing is a decentralized computing infrastructure in which data, compute, storage and applications are located somewhere between the data source and the cloud. Like edge computing, fog computing brings the advantages and power of the cloud closer to where data is created and acted upon.
