Date of Event : 3rd July to 5th July 2020. Chief Guest: Dr.Raj Subbiah, Vice President, Hydro Modeling Inc, Florida, USA. Er.Ramkumar.S.N, Technical Manager, Mercedez Benz R&D, India. Er.Surendran.R, Senior Lead Mechanical, Lennox International, India. The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a three day INTERNATIONAL LEVEL FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON ENHANCING EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES TO MEET INDUSTRIAL CHALLENGES on 3rd July to 5th July 2020. In association with Federal Association of Mechanical Engineers (FAME) under the coordination of Dr. N. Abilash, Associate professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering Department. The main purpose of this Faculty Development Programme is to explore the Technical Thirst among the faculty during this COVID Pandemic. The department planned to organize it virtually through Google platform by mutually sharing their knowledge by leading Industrial giants from all over the world. It was organized in the hope to share their ideas, experiences and research results on all the aspects of Material, Design, Energy and other streams of Engineering. A total of 50 participants participated in this virtual FDP programme. The Resource Persons Inaugurated the event. They shared their knowledge and experience in various fields like Vibration of Machines, Gap between Industries & Academia, Supplier Quality Audit and given valid suggestions to fill the gap between Industry needs from Academic Institutions.
