The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering came into existence in the NICE campus during the academic year 1993-1994. This department adopts ISO 9001:2008 quality procedures and standards. The department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi & the Institution of Engineers (India). The department offers undergraduate programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, post graduate programme in Applied Electronics and Ph.D programmes. The department has 10 highly qualified, dedicated and efficient teaching faculties in all major areas of discipline and 3 supporting staff members. Laboratories such as Electronic System design Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Power System Simulation Lab, Control System Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Measurements and Instrumentation Lab and Research and development Lab are well equipped and designed in such a way as to provide an industrial environment to the students. The department has a design and fabrication division which produces various equipments and instruments for Laboratories, offers project management, and acts as a technical consultant for Industries and Institutions. Our department has got funded projects from EDC, MODROBS, IIPC, RPS etc. Various conferences and workshops in our field of study have been conducted under the sponsorship of AICTE, CSIR, DRDO,TNEB, EDC, SSI and other reputed organizations. The department coordinates and provides guidance to the AMIE students to pursue their studies. Our department has one full time research scholar and 20 part-time scholars doing their research in various prominent areas. The staff members of our department have published numerous research papers in various refereed journals.
More than 75% of the final year students of our Department got placed in various reputed companies. Our alumni have been well placed in reputed companies like CTS, TCS, Accenture, Wipro, TNEB, Microsoft, Oracle etc.
