The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education is one of the largest departments striving hard towards the goal of providing innovative and quality education with high standard to achieve academic excellence and provides a platform for the students to achieve their career goals. It was established in 1995, the department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty and staff members striving hard to maintain its position of leadership in Engineering and Technology. The department offers BE (Mechanical Engineering), ME (Computer Integrated Manufacturing), ME Thermal Engineering), and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering [Regular and Part time]. The department works with the motto "Nothing can be achieved without genuine effort". The core values of the department help the students to develop their overall personality and make them worthy technocrat to compete and work at global level. Innovative methods of teaching and learning process are adopted to achieve learning abilities through practice, exposure and motivation. The Department has excellent infrastructural facilities and provides a conducive environment to promote academic and research excellence in the department. The department is strengthened with experienced and highly qualified dedicated faculty members. Most of the faculty members of the department are doctorates with good publication records and high publication index. The academic activities are supported by sophisticated laboratories with latest equipments. Our staff occupies high positions in peer reviewed International Journals such as Editor, Editorial Board members, etc. We provide students with sound foundation in the Mathematical, Scientific and Engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for higher studies and research. The department had received funded projects from various funding agencies. The faculty of the department had received patents that strengthen the academic record . We promote awareness among the students for life-long learning and to introduce them to professional ethics and codes.
