Information Technology

The Department of Information Technology was established during the academic year 1998-1999. The Department concentrates in bringing out best-fit professionals with creativity, problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, knowledge and tolerance. Advance curriculum covering recent trends and technologies which include Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning etc. and thereby contributing these abilities to the national and international society. A dedicated team of faculty members specialized in diverse areas tunes the students to face the challenges in the career, support scientific research, and to excel as ethically responsible professionals.

The Department offers B.Tech. Information Technology, M.E. in Cyber Security, M.E. in Software Engineering and Ph.D. in Information Technology. The undergraduate programme aims at producing quality professionals, holding important positions in diverse job profiles related to this field. Cyber Security programme at post graduate level is designed to extend employment and education opportunities to the students. The post graduate in Software Engineering programme aims at training students to achieve professional success, take up challenges in research and improve their entrepreneurial skills. All the course structures are up-to-date and include courses on latest topics to equip our students with the recent developments.

The Department provides excellent research facilities to take up creative research in collaboration with Government, Industries and Professional societies. The areas of research are of Multi-disciplinary nature and focus on increasing the research capabilities. The department has made a giant leap by fulfilling the unprecedented demand for ready-to-work professionals in multi-national and Indian corporations to promote them to better future.
