The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering came into existence in the NICE Campus during the Academic year 1993-1994. This department adopts quality procedures and standards. The Department offers an under graduate programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a post graduate programme in Applied Electronics and Ph.D programme.

          The department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching faculty in different areas of the discipline such as Applied electronics, Process control and Instrumentation Engineering, Power Electronics etc. 90% of our teaching faculty are doctorates. Laboratories such as Electrical Machines lab, Electrical Workshop, Power Electronics lab, Control Systems lab and Power System Simulation lab are well equipped and designed in such a way so as to provide an industrial environment to the students. Our department has a library and a smart room.

Our department has full time and part-time Ph.D. scholars doing their research in various prominent areas. The staff members of our department have published numerous research papers in refereed journals.

The department has organized 9 international conferences sponsored by IEEE and Springer, and also conducted 6 technical symposia.  The department is publishing bi annual journal with ISSN No 0973-2993. Our alumni are well placed in highly reputed companies like KSEB, KELTRON, NTPC, TANGEDCO, WIPRO, TCS, CTS etc., all around the globe.
