The Department of Computer Applications was started in the year 1994. The Department has been accredited by NBA and it has well experienced faculty members with industrial and academic exposure. The Department provides an exclusive full-fledged laboratory equipped with 87 numbers of Pentium Core 2Duo systems.
Internet Access, E-Learning, Video Conferencing, CISCO Network Training facilities are also made available to the MCA students. The laboratory is also equipped with high-end servers and latest software like Tally, SAP, J2EE, Tomcat, Oracle 9i, Visual Studio Dot net 2008. The Department has its own Library with sufficient volumes of latest books and Journals to cater the needs. From the academic year 2009- 2010, our department started offering Ph.D Degree Programme in addition to MCA.
The broad objective of the MCA is to prepare graduate students for productive careers in software industry/academia by providing an outstanding environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline. The program's thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to the latest computer software development. The program emphasizes the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking and commercial problems.
This professional course (MCA) is designed to meet the growing requirement of qualified professionals not only in IT industry, but also in other industries as well. The admission to the MCA program can be obtained after completion of the graduation course.
After successful completion of MCA, the candidates will be able to get jobs in different industries like software engineering and development, hardware and networking, research and development, services and application support, etc. As far as software engineering and development is concerned, the candidate can get job as Trainee Programmer, Software Tester, Software Analyst, Software Engineer, and Software Administrator or as a Software Programmer. The hardware and networking industry contain the physical elements of computer system (i.e.) designing, manufacturing and maintenance of computers. It also involves integration and installation of computer systems through networking. Research and development involves the crafting of circuits and chips and computer architecture. The service and application support industry includes application management and system integration, maintenance of software application and its installation and much more.

b. Ph.D in Computer Applications.
Eligibility for admission to MCA Course: Any Degree with mathematics as one of the subject in +2 level or bachelor’s levels.
